Santa left Witt a note at the hotel stating his other gifts were at our house. We returned home to find Witt's stocking stuffed, the Christmas tree lights on and quite a few wrapped gifts. The ONE item Witt put in his letter to Santa (Mario Sports Mix) was under the tree! The third shot is of our son jumping around the house so tickled with this loot!!

25 Dec 2012 ~ Tues {Magic Kingdom}
Merry Christmas from the GlaserTrio!
On Christmas Eve we drove from Charleston to Orlando (per Santa's instructions) and awoke on the 25th to a note from Santa + a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. It took just a few blinks for Witt to realize that we were going to the Magic Kingdom; in fact he said, "We're going to Disney World!" Marc and I felt like Super Bowl Champs as we explored the Magic Kingdom with our five year old -- twelve hours of magical memories!
I love this shot of Witt! He was a little nervous of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party the first ride, but later wanted to try again and spin the teacup himself. What a thrill!!
Late night photo of Marc, Mickey & Witt :)
Witt loved the Christmas Parade after viewing an amazing show at the Hall of Presidents.
Just a fun shot of our Little Bear enjoying HIS DAY at the Magic Kingdom; our ticket agent gave him a 1st Visit button and a ticket with his name typed on it!! :)
Marc snapped this shot while we were in line at the Haunted Mansion.

17 Dec 2012 ~ Mon {Box Tops}

Box Tops for Education = $ for schools
If you are not currently collecting Box Tops for the child in your life, please consider saving them for Witt's school. Earlier this semester his class won an ice cream party for collecting the most Box Tops! Ten cents per top adds up and helps provide play ground equipment and other necessary items.
Thanks much!!

27 Nov 2012 ~ Tues {photography trophy}
This morning Mommy attended a PTSA Reflections Ceremony at Witt's school; he was invited due to his participation as a kindergarten photography category. He won first place at the school level, but did not win at county. However, today he recieved a TROPHY for first place + a spiffy red ribbon for showing at the couny exhibit!! We were both so very tickled; what a huge milestone! Way to go Little Bear!!
{Witt is awarded his first official trophy.}
{Just a fun shot with lots of parents trying to snap shots of their little ones.}
{Witt gathers with the other photography winners on stage for a yearbook photo; he was front and center as his named was called first as the kindergarten winner.}

18 Nov 2012 ~ Sun {board game}
Witt placed his first word in Scrabble!
Final board nearly 2 hours later.
Marc is the champion at PLACING words, the strategy of Scrabble. He also assisted Witt, so they placed 1st and 2nd and Mommy earned 3rd! :-) We had a lot of fun!

19 Nov 2012 ~ Mon {warm wishes}
Warm Thanksgiving Wishes from the Glasers compliments of Witt's LifeIsGood.com coloring sheet!! :-)
{Witt has been practicing his whistling skills for weeks. Friday night on the way home from the JV basketball game he whistled in the Jeep and I nearly had a duck. Tonight he has whistled multiple times loud enough to hear him in another room! We are simply delighted at his persistence!! Yah Witt!}

3 Nov 2012 ~ Sat {first exhibit}
{This post is a follow up to the 10/23 entry regarding Witt's PTSA photograph.}

Witt, Puppy & Cookie in the foyer as we exited the PTSA Exhibit; he was thrilled with his cookie! :-)
Witt's PTSA Reflections Entry
While Witt did not win at the county level, we are thrilled with his iPhone camera entry and the importance of his MAGICAL MOMENT. The airman and his family were very supportive of Witt's photo; it meant as much to their family as it did ours!! RahRah and keep snapping, Little Bear!!
17 Nov 2012 ~ Sat {basketball tradition}
After twelve years at my school our family has come to accept the hectic, but refreshing pace of basketball season. Friday was opening night for 9th and JV; the Varsity teams graced our turf Saturday in the Coaches vs Cancer tournament; both teams won! Yeah Patriots! The above pictures capture the final score of our boys game vs Morgan County (played a super game --- go Bulldogs in your region!) and the coaches' sneakers!! Basketball games are in a warm gym, fast-paced and bright! [It was easy to introduce an infant to baseketball and not be concerned about the weather; games just became a part of our winter + the English Dept has a long history of supporting our Bouncing Patriots.] Our school has a strong basketball tradition. While this is our family blog, Witt and I (Marc not as often) spend quite a bit of time cheering for our red, white and blue Patriots November-March, so I felt the need to add this entry. The coaches and players (boys, girls, 9th, JV and Varsity) spend a gazillion hours practicing, drilling and playing in our old and new gyms; thank you to all for investing so much of your time and energy. During this season of gratitude, we are thankful for Berkmar Basketball!
16 Nov 2012 ~ Fri {pencil & paper}
Witt & Tammy attended the 5pm JV basketball game; Witt played word games and drew pictures while yelling an occasional "Go Berkmar" from the stand!
11 Nov 2012 ~ Sun {ANNIE Finale}
Hooverville Witt --- turning in his script; he loved his "ANNIE book" (memorized 90% of it)!
Mommy & Witt after the NYC scene; Witt had just gotten his WACKY mouth lines :-)
Radio Scene just after intermission --- Witt as WACKY!

2 Nov 2012 ~ Fri {pajama jam)
Witt has his first school dance tonight; it was a Pajama Jam. Attached is the fun with props picture a photographer took of our little guy! He ran and played in the gym ---- did a little ChaCha and quite a few new moves!! It was fun!!

23 Oct 2012 ~ Tues {cartwheel moments}
Background: On September 28th, the day Uncle Sonny died, Marc was out of town. That evening Witt and I drove to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to play taxi. We waited next to a mom and her two young daughters; they had posters and were anticipating the arrival of an US Airman from Afghanistan -- also known as DADDY. Witt played with the 3yr old and the toddler, who was just months old when Daddy left. Quite a few Patriots waited with us in anticipation of this homecoming and burst into applause at his arrival. I snapped shots with my camera and emailed them to this family; Witt had my phone and snapped three shots (one self-portait) and two of the reunion.
Reflections Contest: The PTSA's theme this year is "The Magic of a Moment." We got home and I looked at the moments Witt snapped and giggled. Below you will find the picture we submitted to his school's contest; it is innocent and spontaneous.
Update: Today we learned that Witt's photo won at the school kindergarten level and has moved to the county competition. We are tickled! The mom/wife we met at the airport has been supportive and is completing a Consent Form; Daddy is still on leave and they are enjoying the family time. Tonight in honor of this milestone I did a cartwheel in the front yard -- what a memory! {Many thanks to Mrs. Bonnie Frazier for patiently teaching me to perform a cartwheel in her backyard when the Fraziers were our neighbors in the 70s! It's been two decades and like riding a bike --- I can still do it! Hooray!}

30 Sept 2012 ~ Sun {wise words}
When your father dies, say the Irish,
you lose your umbrella against bad weather.
May his sun be your light, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the Welsh,
you sink a foot deeper into the earth.
May you inherit his light, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the Canadians,
you run out of excuses. May you inherit
his sun, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the French,
you become your own father.
May you stand up in his light, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the Indians,
he comes back as the thunder.
May you inherit his light, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the Russians,
he takes your childhood with him.
May you inherit his light, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the English,
you join his club you vowed you wouldn't.
May you inherit his sun, say the Armenians.
When your father dies, say the Armenians,
your sun shifts forever.
And you walk in his light.

25 Aug 2012 ~ Sat {American South}
August 1st was our 19th wedding anniversary and Support Chick-Fil-A day. Today (over 3 weeks later) I was behind a truck on Hwy 78 proclaiming its support of CFA. I made a right
turn just to get a shot of this rear window. Only in America --- particularly the South --- can a truck serve as a billboard of an individual's beliefs. God Bless America.

21 Aug 2012 ~ Tues {Wacky Witt}
We had our dinner theater info meeting tonight; Witt is WACKY in the musical.
{Last year we took a photo in the drive-way of Witt with his script. The Little Bear is looking forward to this theater experience; however, he is very concerned that there are so many orphans. We must watch the musical soon, so he'll KNOW --- not just parents pacifying him --- it all turns out AOK!!}
