Witt talked for MONTHS about Cars2. On Saturday Marc and Witt went to the theater; Mommy tagged along for a photo. Once inside Witt would not go into the actual theater to see the long anticipated movie. Marc called for Mommy to give Witt a pep talk; when asked why he did not want to enter, Witt said, "Mommy, I don't want to see Jeff Gorvette be mean to Lightning McQueen on the big screen. I can see it at home when it comes out on dvd." We had read a Cars2 book; he knew the bad guys. We could not argue with him. Therefore, we will anticipate the dvd release.

6/19 Daddy appears on Father's Day to feed the babies!!
6/19 One of the four birds practiced flying lessons for a good hour!
6/20 The three remaining siblings are cheering for their big bird sibling! We watched the other three birdies practice flying this morning. 
6/20 ...and then there were none!On the last day of spring our nest is empty; we can use the porch light and we miss our finch family. We hope they will return to our feeder and tweet a song! :)

We have spotted this little bunny in our front yard three times in five days. This morning before VBS I took the photo below of Witt in the front yard with our hop-a-long to the left of his head (when looking at the picture).

We have had a nesting House Finch mommy (Daddy built the nest and skipped town) on our porch for a few weeks. Upon our return today we saw two little babies (one pictured) waiting for Mommy Finch to return with food! What a joy! We're tickled that Daddy Finch chose our front porch (first nest ever on our porch not in a birdhouse), but Mommy must be miffed as it is just outside our front door! :)Tuesday, June 7, 2011
