Church Circus Camp -- Day 1

Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Witt really did enjoy day one of Circus Camp at church; in this picture he is disappointed that Mommy will not allow him to run up and down the hall! :)

Wizard Box Fan

After lunch the GlaserTrio went to make a donation at the Goodwill; while there, we had to PLUNDER! Tammy found this Wizard Box Fan on a stand with wheels for $19.91; it was filthy, but drenched in character and filled with potential. The fan has two speeds, but it only works on HIGH. For two hours (during the USA v/s Ghana World Cup game -- sniffle sniffle) Tammy cleaned each part of the fan; it looks great! Marc found a YouTube video stating that this Wizard was manufactured during late 40s through the 60s and sold across America in Western Auto stores. It is a super addition to our SUMMER APPLIANCES! :)

Witt standing beside the organic dairy tent at our Snellville Farmers' Market!
Mommy was the only one who wanted a fresh blueberry scone; however, Daddy took a bite and Witt ate the most! The Snellville FM opened the first Saturday in June and today was the first time we were able to get there before the noon closing. Now we know what to expect -- great fun in Snellville USA!

Perspective ~ Game Face

Mommy's favorite shot from today -- tiny Witt (BIG COWBOY) on this massive and beautiful horse. I just loved the perspective -- this is actually before he gets too comfortable. Witt was so brave and worked through his fear today as Daddy and Mommy cheered. He did great!!

Father's Day Eve ~ Cowboy Witt

Anticipation

Waving to Mr. Tony's horse

"I want to get down!" Missy is much taller from Witt's new vantage point.

Round and round Missy goes -- very sweet horse! Mr. Tony told Witt to watch Missy's ears; she loves to listen to her humans.

This is getting better!

By the end -- Witt is a real Cowboy and sings the "MISSY" song to this beautiful horse. She is listening to him and he realizes that she is a large gentle creature!

Earlier today the GlaserTrio went on a yard sale adventure; as we approached (actually turning RIGHT) the last garage sale we saw a homemade sign propped against a tree. Marc was driving and I screamed, “HONK!” He did with a smile. (For a moment we were both caught in the 80s!) The moment brought tears to my eyes – literally! As we departed I had to snap a shot of the sign!

GOD BLESS AMERICA – LAND THAT WE ALL LOVE!

Friday night Marc found a chocolate poodle scared and wandering; it had a bandana, but no collar. He put it in our back yard and intended to take it to the vet Saturday morning for a chip scan in hopes of finding its people – we know of no poodle folks on our street. Anyway, Ilene was fine with the dog, but not so happy that Daddy gave it a bowl of her food. Witt wanted to know if this dog was “family." He stood with the poodle in the backyard and talked up a storm. As it would be its owners were out of town and told the dog-sitters, one subdivision away, that they could let Bon-Bon outside with no leash with their dog. Bon-Bon flew the coup! A mom and an older teen-age son were on a mad hunt to find this pooch! We’re so thankful we were able to help; Marc was in the front yard when the son came by inquiring about this lost pooch!! Attached is a shot of Witt and the poodle. Marc told Witt that he played a HUGE role in the rescue because he made the poodle feel comfortable.
