Patriots advance to Round Two in State Tournament!

The Berkmar Patriots beat Sprayberry High School 74-66 Friday night at home in round one of the State Tournament! What fun for the fans! Below is a Coach McWhorter quote from Saturday's edition of the Gwinnett Daily Post! The Girls play today -- Go Pats!!
"I thought we played sluggish," McWhorter said. "There was no energy tonight. We tried to outscore those guys. There was no defense. I won't say it was the worst (defensive game we've played), but it was one of them."

Total Lunar Eclipse

Clouds did not cover the spectacular lunar eclipse featuring Saturn, the bright star Regulus and our Moon, Wednesday night! :) Attached are three pictures; one of the three major players (bottom), one of Witt with LADY RED MOON above his head (middle - very dark) and one of Marc holding Witt in the air (top). We had to use the flash in order to actually see Witt, so you can't see the moon. Oh well -- maybe in 2010!

Oh -- Witt's second tooth arrived late Tuesday afternoon during nap ~ yippee!!

Super Tuesday 2008!

Witt went to the poll with Mommy on Tuesday! He took a bottle while we waited in line (only 15 minutes) with other American citizens exercising their right to vote on Primary Day in Georgia!

Witt removed his right shoulder strap in the carseat; it is lost and we have ordered a new one!

Super Bowl XLII ~ Congratulations Giants!

Witt watched his first Super Bowl tonight! He had lots of fun playing in a white plastic basket and eating a teething biscuit in his exersaucer! By game's end he was growing sleepy -- thus the silly up-side-down picture with Daddy!

Groundhog does NOT see his shadow!

The Glaser Groundhog does not see his shadow on Saturday, February 2, 2008!

Marc, Ilene and Witt are hoping the lack of a shadow truly indicates an early Spring; Tammy is hoping for a few more snow blasts!! :)

from GwinnettDailyPost.com regarding our local groundhog, General Lee:
"
While an old farm bell was rung and a bowl of hash browns placed outside his door, the furry rodent only teased the calling crowd by popping his nose outside the door of his white columned mansion before scurrying back inside. Nearly half an hour later, at 7:32 a.m., the stubborn hog made an appearance without his elusive shadow and game ranch officials declared spring is on its way."
