Today we had a snow for the second time in a single week!
We seldom have snow two years in a row! This time the snow
did not accumulate, like Wednesday. Our conditions were colder
and wetter than earlier this week!

The snow has renewed Tammy's spirit; Marc, Witt and Ilene
appreciate INDOORS more!! :) Poppy and Mimi were in town
to enjoy our snow today.

Greetings from Snellville!

In last year’s letter we shared the exciting news of our pregnancy; Butterbean was due April 20th and Tammy was willing the child to be a May 1st baby. However, Tammy's body developed HELLP Syndrome and Butterbean had to be taken at thirty-six weeks. On Thursday, March 22nd at 6:22pm Marc announced, “It’s a boy and he has a head full of hair!” Instantly, we were in love with our little Henry Wittenberg Glaser! Ilene has been a trooper; Marc took her Witt’s first blanket to sniff. When we arrived home on the 26th Ilene was more interested in the car seat than her little brother. She adores him and he loves to pet her.

Witt has been so patient with his parents. He cries when he is hungry and/or his diaper is dirty. Witt looks just like his Daddy! He has a happy–go-lucky disposition and his laugh is contagious; Witt is an expert bubble maker. Who knew having a baby would be so much fun? We love watching him learn and are wow-ed by his ability to enjoy silly songs we make up on a whim.

Marc is still with Atlanta Commercial Real Estate Services; in July we took a cruise Marc earned to Key West and Cozumel. We saw Cuba starboard of the ship on a misty Sunday morning – quite interesting. Tammy is in her seventh year Berkmar High School and teaches three year olds each Sunday at Snellville First Baptist.

Glaser Annual Review: Our family gives four paws up to We Were the Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates, Annie Dillard’s The Maytrees (This book took Tammy to Cape Cod in July since we were unable to make the trip!), and the board book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. In addition we applaud a beautifully touching movie The Painted Veil, USA Network originals Monk and Psyche, the TNT drama The Closer and Marc cheers the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Witt and his parents recommend Disney’s Little Einsteins and Noggin’s Jack’s Big Music Show. The four of us watched the final episode of The Sopranos on June 10th and like the rest of America thought something happened to our cable when the show ended so brilliantly! We discovered two neat websites this year: skymilesshopping.com (earn Delta Sky Miles while shopping online and hundreds of merchants) and childrensart.org (Great stationery and gifts featuring artwork created by patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; sales support camps, classes, scholarships and more for patients!).

We wish you quality time with those you love during in the coming year. Remember our troops who boldly protect the freedoms we enjoy daily as Americans! Heart-felt gratitude to our neighbor, Jason Struck and the soldiers in his unit; they all made it home safely on December 14th after a year of service in Afghanistan; thank you!

Here’s to a blissful 2008!

Exersaucer Fun!
