Christmas Eve: Pencil's last night with us before returning to the North Pole for eleven months.

December 22, 2011 ~ Marc named our Elf on the Shelf PENCIL Witt's first Christmas because ELF is so pointy! :) Humans are not allowed to touch the Elf on the Shelf or will lose his magic. Each night the Pencil flies to the North Pole to report his observations to Santa and returns to our house perching in a different place. We had so much fun entertaining Pencil this year; he was with us from the week after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. This is the only picture we have of Witt and Pencil; it's the closest Pencil landed to the floor.
